Details on cost of new Shah Alam Stadium will be made available end February or early March, says Selangor MB

Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari will provide details on the cost of redeveloping the Shah Alam Stadium after the exhibition and public engagement sessions related to it is completed on February 10.

He said the information will be made available by the end of this month or early March.

'I have experts in determining the estimate, if we look at the stadium alone, it is around RM700 million to RM800 million, but if we look at the whole complex, it will probably be more because we will have parks, tourism and recreation areas and so on and we will also build a hotel.

'If we compare stadium to stadium, I believe it is more than RM700 million and less than RM1 billion,' he said.

He told this to the media in commenting on the statement by Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) team owner, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim who described the cost of RM700 million for the reconstruction of the Shah Alam Stadium as illogical.
